Children’s Services
Since 1994, we have supported children’s services professionals across the UK with high-quality training that promotes safety, dignity, and better outcomes for all involved.
View CoursesWe specialise in empowering Children’s Services professionals with the tools and knowledge to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
By focusing on trauma-informed care and positive behaviour support, we equip teams to address complex behaviours safely and effectively.
Our expertise spans residential children’s homes, fostering agencies, secure units, family centres, youth and community provision and individual family support. We are committed to reducing restrictive practices and improving the quality of life for children presenting ‘challenging’ behaviours, who often have SEMH need or have experienced trauma. Our training helps learners to understand the importance of relationships in heading and creating safe environments.
The PRICE Training model promotes sustainable skill-building and a shared ethos and curiosity in understanding behaviour.
Our Positive Approaches to Challenging Behaviour Courses are designed to provide staff with the skills to understand, respond to, and manage behaviours of concern safely. These programs emphasise promoting dignity, choice, and inclusion, reducing the need for restraint, and preventing placement breakdowns.
Our curricula provides comprehensive strategies to help understand behaviour through a robust framework combining primary, secondary, and tertiary interventions that focus on de-escalation and positive responses to challenging situations.
We have a suite of physical techniques from breakaways to multi-person holds, designed to ensure the safety of all parties during high-risk situations. We have also designed a number of techniques specifically for supporting small children. Our techniques have been biomechanically assessed by independent experts.
