Our Positive Approaches to Challenging Behaviour programmes help staff understand, prevent, and respond to behaviours of concern, promoting dignity, choice, inclusion, and reducing the need for restrictive interventions and placement breakdowns.
Our curriculum combines evidence-based primary, secondary, and tertiary interventions, with a strong emphasis on prevention, de-escalation, and positive responses. Where physical intervention is necessary, we provide a range of biomechanically assessed techniques—from breakaways and disengagements to multi-person holds, including methods specifically designed for supporting younger children—to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved.
