We work in partnership with adult social care and health providers to create lasting, positive change in culture and attitudes towards understanding behaviour and reducing the use of restrictive practices.

PRICE Training is committed to promoting a rights-based approach in all care environments, seeking to support the reduction of restrictive practices and improve the quality of life for those being supported by staff in adult social care and health settings. We demonstrate this continuing commitment through our ability to present an evidence based curricula that meets all the requirements requested within the Restraint Reduction Network Training StandardsRestraint Reduction Network Training Standards, and enabling ourselves to seek continued approval and associated certification from BILD ACT.

We specialise in the empowerment of professionals using our evidence-based curricula, tools and knowledge to support the creation of positive outcomes for individuals who access adult social care and health services. Our focused approach ensures that we offer insight into the principles of trauma-informed care, positive behaviour support, equipping teams we support to consider a rights based response for those who present with behaviours of concern or distress safely and effectively across the lifespan.

Training provided by PRICE has been assessed and certified against the RRN Training Standards which is considered as a mandatory requirement for all training with a restrictive intervention component that is delivered to NHS-commissioned services for people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autistic people and people living with dementia in England as defined by the Mental health Units (Use of Force) Act 2018. Since April 2021, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has expected all services across adult social care and health to only use training in restrictive practices that is certified as complying with the RRN Training Standards.

Our BILD-ACT certified Positive Approaches to Challenging Behaviour curricula is designed to provide staff with the skills to understand and respond to behaviours of concern safely while protecting people’s fundamental human rights. We strive to reduce the reliance on restrictive practices by promoting a positive culture and practice that focuses on a rights based approach which supports prevention, de-escalation and reflective practice.

Our certified curricula promotes a rights based approach offering a range of comprehensive strategies to help understand behaviour across the lifespan using a robust framework that combines learning in primary, secondary, and tertiary interventions that focuses on proactive de-escalation approaches and positive responses to challenging situations.
