Paediatric First Aid

Course designed for those who have responsibility for the care of children and babies on a professional level. It provides a range of knowledge and skills and practical competence to deal with paediatric first aid and conditions.

Training includes:

  • Role of the paediatric first aider
  • Primary survey
  • Resuscitation (inc CPR and AED use)
  • Wounds
  • Bleeding
  • Shock
  • Seizure
  • Choking
  • Minor injuries
  • Recovery position
  • Fractures
  • Foreign bodies
  • Diabetic emergencies
  • Asthma
  • Febrile convulsions
  • Extreme cold and heat
  • Electrical incidents

The course fulfils the requirements detailed in the Department for Education statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

A maximum of 12 delegates per course

Delegate work booklets are included

Certificates and course registration cost £5.50 to £10.50 per participation, subject to course type.
