Oxygen Therapy Administration

Course covers how to administer oxygen safely and effectively, for casualties with breathing difficulties.

It is aimed at qualified first aiders, emergency first aiders, dental practitioners, nurses and health care workers.

Training includes:

  • Benefits of oxygen therapy
  • Indicators for oxygen use
  • Contra-indications of oxygen use
  • Dangers of using compressed gas
  • Health & safety with regards to use, storage and handling of oxygen
  • Operational checks in preparation for the use of oxygen when oxygen therapy should be used
  • Administering oxygen therapy
  • Administering oxygen to a patient within agreed ways of working

A maximum of 12 delegates per course

Delegate work booklets are included

Certificates and course registration cost £5.50 to £10.50 per participation, subject to course type.
