PRICE Training is committed to reducing restrictive practices and improving the quality of life for those being supported by staff in health and social care settings. We have demonstrated that our curricula complies with the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards and have been approved by BILD ACT as a certified training service.

The RRN Training Standards are mandatory for all training with a restrictive intervention component that is delivered to NHS-commissioned services for people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autistic people and people living with dementia in England. Since April 2021, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has expected all services across health and social care to only use training that is certified as complying with the RRN Training Standards.

Our RRN-Certified Positive Approaches to Challenging Behaviour Curricula is designed to provide staff with the skills to understand and respond to behaviours of concern safely while protecting people’s fundamental human rights. We strive to reduce the reliance on restrictive practices by promoting a positive culture and practice that focuses on prevention, de-escalation and reflective practice.

Our curricula provides comprehensive strategies to help understand behaviour through a robust framework combining primary, secondary, and tertiary interventions that focus on de-escalation and positive responses to challenging situations.

We have a suite of physical techniques from breakaways to multi-person holds, designed to ensure the safety of all parties during high-risk situations. Our techniques have been biomechanically assessed by independent experts.
